Our large format flatbed scanner is able to capture the textures of objects with 3D surfaces.

A Mariner’s Identity Book dating from 1900. Scanned with +2 3D Light.

Unlike photographs and film, where we require even illumination from our scanners, documents often need top or bottom lighting to reveal their texture or history.

Our scanner can make a single pass and then adjust the offset of the lighting dynamically so that we can enhance the 3D detail.

+2 3D Light on left and the original, flat, scan on right.
-6 3D Light on left and +4 3D Light on right.
